Ensure your most treasured jewellery lasts, with our tips and tricks to help keep your pieces at their best.
To make sure your hoops stay in, check the clasp is operating smoothly and securely snaps shut. If it doesn’t close tightly, you can carefully use small pliers or tweezers to gently squeeze the notch where the hinge clicks into place. This adjustment should help it fasten more securely.
Like your studs secure or a little looser? Butterfly backings are adjustable, to fit your earring to your liking. For a tighter fit, simply (and delicately) pinch the two metal loops of the backing together using your fingers or tweezers to ensure a snug fit on the earring post. For a looser fit, gently push the loops back out.
To maintain their durability, treat your hoops with care. To open them, hold each side and gently pull them apart. If you find the earring isn’t quite clicking shut, it is likely the earring post is misaligned. To fix this, gently push the post up or down towards the groove using your fingers or tweezers. Ensure the post hinge aligns with the receiving hole or groove when closing the earring and listen for a little click sound, this should now be secure.
Avoid opening the hoops inward beyond the closure, as this can damage the delicate hinge. Only open them as much as needed and avoid twisting them sideways, as this can loosen or break the hinge at the bottom.
Crafted with delicate links, our signature fine chain requires gentle handling to prevent tangling and avoid stretching. The primary cause of breakage in our necklaces and bracelets is often due to stretching. Made from solid gold and sterling silver—both malleable materials—they can elongate over time from regular wear or accidental snagging.
Be conscious of the kind of clothing you wear with these pieces as they can cause the chain to get caught and stretch.
Our delicate clasps may be sensitive to pressure and, with regular wear, their mechanical springs can lose their resilience over time. Should your clasp weaken or break, your best option would be replacing your clasp. Please see our warranty policy to see if we can assist with a replacement.
Found your chain in a tangle? Work to untangle it straight away to prevent any stretching. We suggest using two pins on a flat, sturdy surface to carefully work through the knot. Begin at the centre of the tangle to gradually ease the chain. As the knot loosens and opens up, gently manoeuvre the pins away from the tightest spot to unravel the tangle.
Patience is key—handle with care to avoid any accidental damage to your chain.
Crafted from delicate precious metal wire, our fine rings require gentle handling to maintain their shape and beauty. Please handle your rings with care, as excessive pressure may cause the wire to bend or break.
Our 18k gold-plated pieces use a sterling silver base, with a gold layer of 1.5-2 microns. While this exceeds the industry standard and offers extended durability, for optimal longevity, we recommend the following: Remove your jewellery when swimming, sleeping, showering, or bathing, as exposure to salt, creams, and washing products can damage its surface.
Additionally, avoid contact with strong chemicals, cleaning products, water, creams, and perfumes, as these can accelerate tarnishing and wear away the top layer of the plated jewellery.
Please feel free to get in touch with any questions or concerns. Our team would like to help you get the most wear and enjoyment out of your pieces.
