1. CREATIVE PRODUCER / PHOTOGRAPHER

Full time, Northern Beaches Location
Salary negotiable based on experience

We are looking for a highly creative individual to produce social media and collection imagery for our brand. The ideal candidate with have a creative flair for photography and design and will be enthusiastic about the idea of bringing our collections and brand to life through imagery and content.

Photography and content production skills are a must. The core focus of this position will be taking amazing daily photos and videos of our collections, styling and coming up with key looks and working with campaign and product photographers on model and blog styled shoots.

The content produced will be used on social media to increase our following and brand interaction; on the KA websites to make the homepage and product pages pop with interesting imagery and video; and through digital campaigns online.

This is an exciting position in which the successful candidate will play a vital role in the positioning and direction of the Kirstin Ash brand. If you have a passion for social media and photography, are excited about the opportunity to work within a creative fashion / jewellery brand, then this may be for you.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Photography

  • Produce beautiful imagery that captures the essence of the brand and jewellery.
  • Take daily lifestyle and model photos to use on social media.
  • Style and come up with key looks for all shoots. 
  • Manage and organise creative shoots, preparing jewellery and being responsible for all shoot related processes and deliverables.
  • Liase with other photographers to execute additional campaign and product photoshoots where needed.
  • Management of the Kirstin Ash Imagery Folder, ensuring it is kept up to date and the latest brand and collection imagery is available for our stores and marketing contacts.
  • Basic photo retouching in house when possible, and liaising with our external product image retoucher for more advanced projects.


Graphic Design

  • Use your graphic design skills to visually come up and implement campaigns for the Kirstin Ash websites. This includes loading images, resizing and layout design every 4-8 weeks across all country websites.
  • Work with our email marketing company on imagery content for our EDMs (this does not include html coding).
  • Brainstorm creative ideas and concepts and put together key looks for campaigns and images.


Social Media

  • You must have a keen sense of understanding of social media. 
  • Be able to create beautiful imagery and video content that shares what the kirstin ash brand is about and gets our customers excited about the brand.
  • Assist in copywriting for social media posts that tell a story and engage our customers.
  • Understand the influencer/blogger network and assist with identifying and selecting key people to collaborate with.
  • Support our PR agencies to coordinate jewellery and set a calendar plan for events and communications.
  • Brainstorm and assist in the development of the social media strategy and direction for the Kirstin Ash brand.


Website

  • Management of the Kirstin Ash website, including uploading images to the home page and overseeing all website pages to ensure they are on brand, well written and always updated with fresh content.
  • Enhancement of the Kirstin Ash website product pages. Working to bring the product pages to life, with the latest and most relevant and effective imagery.
  • Creating and updating product details and descriptions, both on the website and online with google descriptions and social media.


Marketing

  • Brainstorm and come up with ideas and campaigns to roll out across the collections and various platforms.
  • Assist in developing a marketing / campaign calendar and overall brand marketing plan.
  • Work with advertising agencies to create and implement campaigns such as EDMs, Facebook and Instagram adverts.
  • Create relevant work that matches our brand strategy, look and feel.
  • Coordinate with stockists and key contacts to provide marketing material for in store features and brand displays and to execute promotional ideas and events such as GWP, in store giveaways and staff incentives. 


PR & Events

  • Create short videos of our campaign photoshoots, to give behind the scenes insight and capture excitement for the launch of a new collection.
  • Help build the profile of Kirstin, as a designer and creative business director.
  • Assist in influencer seeding and liaising with our PR companies on any projects and up and coming event.
  • Assistance in the organisation of wholesale events, including the design and organisation of trade shows and store events.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in photography and video production.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in creating social media content previously, ideally for fashion forward or designer brand.
  • Proven experience with creative, fashion and/or lifestyle brands.
  • Graphic design degree or qualification will be highly regarded, but is not essential. At a minimum, a strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other necessary design programs will be needed to demonstrate creative skills and to produce strong visuals on a daily basis.
  • Experience in still life / lifestyle photography or jewellery photography.
  • Interest in the fashion and the jewellery industry.
  • Photo retouching skills would be preferred.
  • An exceptional understanding of social media is important, a passion for creative content and the ability to learn about up and coming trends and new emerging platforms.
  • Have a vision for the concepts and ideas from start to finish. You will be a highly creative person with an ability to come up with fresh ideas and execute them.
  • Highly motivated and able to take ownership of a project.
  • Flexibility in working on other duties within a small highly capable team.

2. CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST

Full time, Northern Beaches Location
Salary negotiable based on experience

We’re looking for a customer service specialist to join our growing team! If you have a passion for customer service and enjoy customer satisfaction, then this may be for you. The role is split between order processing and customer service.

You will be working with a small team of creative individuals, who each excel in their respective areas. The studio is a creative working space with a beautiful tropical outlook in Avalon on the northern beaches.

In this role, you will be the main contact with our customers making this role extremely important to us! We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and wants to go that step further to make customers happy.

The position is location in Avalon beach, located at the top of the Northern Beaches. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Communication

  • Management of all online retail customer service for the Kirstin Ash brand (internationally and locally).
  • Proactively, patiently, positively and enthusiastically respond to retail customer communications quickly and effectively.
  • Go above and beyond with customer requests and work towards achieving fast order deliveries when requested.
  • Monitor Shopify websites and social media platforms to make sure they are kept up to date with product listings, posts and customer service pages.
  • Build relationships with our top customers and work towards making all customers happy and enthusiastic about the Kirstin Ash brand. 
  • Assist in Facebook and Instagram customer communications and respond to posts and enquiries.
  • Attend trade shows when required.


Order Processing

  • Management of our order systems including Shopify for order placement, StarShip and e-Parcel Australia Post for order shipping.
  • Processing of both retail and wholesale shop orders, ensuring they are picked, packed and shipped accurately and quickly to maximize daily order throughput.
  • Ensure customer orders are packaged beautifully, and match the Kirstin Ash aesthetic with our creative gift boxes and packaging.
  • Update accounting systems and remove items from websites when stock issues arise such as stock outs, incorrect stock numbers or backorders.
  • Contact customers and provide solutions when items out of stock or backorders are necessary.


Inventory & Administration

  • Ensure inventory quantities are kept up to date within the accounting and website systems.
  • Partake in inventory stock takes on a rotating basis and on 3 monthly stock takes.
  • Assist in the packing and transfer of stock from our Sydney studio to our UK distribution centre.
  • Record and apply customer payments in our accounting system.
  • Management of AfterPay, PayPal and other online payment systems; ensuring receipts are kept on record and available for easy processing when refunds are requested.
  • Re-order office supplies and manage gift box and display inventory.


Kirstin Ash Brand

  • Help build the perception of the Kirstin Ash brand in our retail and online areas.
  • Ensure all communications match the style and quality of the Kirstin Ash brand. This includes exceptional phone manner and written tone, always being polite, helpful and supportive to customers.
  • Support the vision and wishes of the owners in terms of how brand is promoted, marketed and positioned.
  • Flexible with doing tasks and sensitive to working in a family business. Strong and positive brand representation at trade shows and any events that are required.

 

MUST HAVE

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good multi-tasking ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in retail or a previous customer facing position would be preferred

3. SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Casual or contract role, flexible work location
Salary negotiable based on experience

We are looking for an experienced graphic designer to join the KA team. This is a high level graphic design position in which the successful candidate will play a key part in creating and establishing the Kirstin Ash brand.

We are looking for a designer who can create artwork that has a minimal aesthetic which fits with the current Kirstin Ash brand. Proven experience working in a creative agency or with fashion / lifestyle brand is required. 

The location and hours of the position are flexible. Our studio is located in Avalon, however the ability to work remotely is possible.

Please note a minimum of 5 years graphic design experience is required. As well as the ability to demonstrate high level graphic design work including illustration, packaging, look book and website campaigns.

If you have a passion for design and want to work in a small team of creative people who value creativity, then this could be for you.
